A Community of Shared Future
人类只有一个地球，各国共处一个世界，人类是休戚与共的命运共同体。没有哪一个国家能够独自应对人类面临的各种挑战，也没有哪个国家能够退回到自我封闭的孤岛。各个国家需要以负责任的精神同舟共济，共同维护和促进世界和平与发展。
There is only one earth for humanity, and all countries share one world. Humanity is a community with a shared future, where we face the same joys and sorrows. No country can tackle the various challenges facing humanity alone, nor can any country isolate itself on a self-enclosed island. Each country needs to collaborate with a responsible spirit to safeguard and promote world peace and development.
其核心就是中共十九大报告所指出的“建设持久和平、普遍安全、共同繁荣、开放包容、清洁美丽的世界”。换句话说，推动构建人类命运共同体，必须从政治、安全、经济、文化、生态等五个方面着力。
The essence of this vision is, as stated in the report to the 19th CPC National Congress, to “build an open, inclusive, clean, and beautiful world that enjoys lasting peace, universal security, and common prosperity.” In other words, efforts are needed in politics, security, economy, culture and ecology.
这一思想的提出顺应了历史潮流，回应了时代要求，凝聚了各国共识，为人类社会实现共同发展、持续繁荣、长治久安绘制了蓝图，对中国的和平发展、世界的繁荣进步都具有重大和深远的意义。
The introduction of this idea is in accordance with the historical trend, responds to the requirements of the times, and consolidates the consensus of all countries. It has laid a blueprint for achieving common development, sustainable prosperity, and long-term stability in human society. This idea bears significant and far-reaching implications for China’s peaceful development and the world’s prosperity and progress.

New History
2013 年 3 月 23日，习近平主席在俄罗斯莫斯科国际关系学院首次在外交场合提出“人类命运共同体”重大倡议，呼吁国际社会树立“你中有我、我中有你”的命运共同体意识。
On March 23, 2013, President Xi Jinping proposed the major initiative of “a community with a shared future for humanity” at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in Russia. President Xi called on the international community to establish the awareness of a close-knit community sharing a common destiny.” It was the first time this idea was proposed on a diplomatic occasion.
2015年9月，习近平主席在联合国总部发表题为《携手构建合作共赢新伙伴同心打造人类命运共同体》的讲话，明确指出要“构建以合作共赢为核心的新型国际关系，打造人类命运共同体”。这是中国最高领导人首次在重大国际组织场合中提出“人类命运共同体”的概念并详细阐释核心思想。In September 2015, President Xi delivered a speech titled “Jointly Build a Community of Shared Future for Mankind and Create a Win-Win New Partnership” at the United Nations headquarters, specifically highlighting the need to “build a new type of international relations based on win-win cooperation and create a community of shared future for mankind.” This was the first time that China’s top leader has proposed the concept of a “community with a shared future for humanity” in a major international setting and elaborated on its core ideas.
2017年1月18日，在联合国总部的演讲中，习近平主席系统阐释构建人类命运共同体的理论内涵和目标路径，对全世界面临的挑战和问题提出中国理念、中国方案。
On January 18, 2017, in a speech at the United Nations headquarters, President Xi systematically elaborated on the theoretical implications and goal path of building a community with a shared future for humanity. He proposed Chinese ideas and solutions to the challenges and problems facing the world today.
2020年，在新冠疫情肆虐全球的艰难时刻，习近平主席又向世界提出共同构建人类卫生健康共同体的主张，呼吁各国积极投身国际抗疫合作，加强全球公共卫生治理，共同佑护各国人民生命和健康。
In 2020, during the difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic raging globally, President Xi once again proposed to the world the construction of a community of health for all humanity. He called on all countries to actively participate in international cooperation against epidemics, strengthen global public health governance, and jointly safeguard people’s lives and health around the world.
在2023年5月18至19日于西安举行的中国-中亚峰会，习近平主席强调与中亚国家携手建设一个合作共赢、相互成就的共同体。他在峰会的主旨讲话中说，中亚是亚欧大陆的中心，处在联通东西、贯穿南北的十字路口；并强调要建设中国-中亚命运共同体。
At the China-Central Asia Summit held in Xi’an on May 18-19, 2023, President Xi emphasized the need to build a community of cooperation and prosperity with Central Asian countries. In his keynote speech, he stated that Central Asia is at the center of the Eurasian continent, located at the crossroads linking the east and the west and connecting the north and south. He also emphasized the need to build a China-Central Asia community with a shared future.

“人类命运共同体”提出至今已有10年。这一思想的影响和号召力日益突出。俗话说：“孤举者难起，众行者易趋。”最强大的力量是同心合力，最有效的方法是同舟共济。
It has been ten years since the “community with a shared future for mankind” was first proposed. The influence and appeal of this idea have become increasingly prominent. As the saying goes, “It is difficult for a single stick to support the whole building, but it is easier for many sticks to do so.” The strongest force is one that unites, and the most effective means is to collaborate.
打造人类命运共同体，要建立平等相待、互商互谅的伙伴关系，营造公道正义、共建共享的安全格局，谋求开放创新、包容互惠的发展前景，促进和而不同、兼收并蓄的文明交流，构筑尊崇自然、绿色发展的生态体系。
To create a community with a shared future for humanity, we need to establish a partnership based on equality, consultation, and mutual understanding. We should foster a just and equitable security landscape, promote open innovation, inclusive development prospects, and encourage inter-civilizational exchanges that embrace diversity and inclusiveness. We should build an ecological system that respects nature and supports green development.
只有携起手来，相互融合，成为你中有我、我中有你的休戚相关局面，共同创造美好家园，从而迎来世界更加美好的发展。
Only by joining hands, blending with each other, and building a community with a shared future, we can create a beautiful home together and a better development of the world.

3月30日，雷竞技官网第十二届多语种模拟联合国大会顺利举办，本次大会的主题为以变革和发展应对全球多重危机挑战，来自各专业的学生组成代表团围绕国际热点问题展开辩论。各“国”代表团根据全球发展趋势，从所属国家存在的全球性问题出发，对当前全球气候变暖、粮食危机等问题展开深入探讨，一起寻求最优化的全球方案。
On March 30th, our university successfully hosted the 12th Multilingual Model United Nations Conference. The theme of this conference was “Responding to Global Multi-Crisis Challenges through Change and Development.” Students from various majors formed delegations representing different countries and engaged in debates on hot international topics. Each delegation started from their respective country’s global problems and discussed in-depth current global issues such as climate change and food crises, seeking the optimal global solutions together.

The Model United Nations Conference encourages and cultivates global citizenship awareness and a sense of responsibility among students in our university, promoting their awareness of mutual understanding and cooperation in the cross-cultural, cross-ethnic, and cross-regional background. The Model United Nations Conference provides opportunities for developing leadership, organizational management, coordination skills, negotiation skills, etc. Participants can gain deeper insights into the challenges and problems faced by humanity together, thus possessing a broader vision and more efficient practical abilities to make more active contributions to building a community with a shared future for humanity.

It demonstrates the principles and values of China’s steadfast pursuit of the path of peaceful development, which have been inherited and developed in innovation. Only by upholding the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, eliminating the barriers, helping each other, merging together, becoming interconnected, and creating a beautiful home together, can we usher in a better development for the world.
